Thomas Saenz is the president and general counsel of MALDEF, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund. He joins the Chino Y Chicano to explain why the civil rights organization plans to open a Seattle office this year. Saenz also talks about the growth of the Latino population in the United States, plus, the challenges faced in politics, voting, immigration, the courts, media and battling extremism.
